Personal Tax -> Federal income tax refunds

 

Taxpayers have the option of having a federal tax refund check mailed to them, or receiving their refund by direct deposit to their bank account.

Use the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Where's My Refund tool to check the status of your refund, or call the Refund Hotline at (800) 829-1954. The online tool will also allow you to change your address.  You will need your
bullet

social security number ( or IRS individual taxpayer identification number)

bullet

filing status (single, married filing joint return, married filing separate return, head of household, or qualifying widow(er))

bullet

exact whole dollar refund amount shown on your return
